I have a torch that runs on propane and oxygen. It’s mounted on a table in front of a ventilation system.
When I pick up the glass, it’s in a solid state. When I put it in the flame, it melts into a consistency kind of like honey, and I can move it around and shape it.
The whole process is absolutely mesmerizing!

I did a glassblowing apprenticeship in Boulder, CO. There was a big glassblowing scene there at the time, and it was a great environment to learn and share and grow together.

I did my glassblowing apprenticeship in 1999, which means I have been doing this for decades. Wow! Time flies :)
